Finally I heard my name....

I can not explain in the right words the joy & pure excitement I experienced when I heard my beautiful son say "mama" for the first time tonight. He was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and began saying it. He said it three times within just a few minutes and I was so happy I had to take him out of bed and play with him because I needed to hear it many more times & get it on video. I feel sooooooooooo HAPPY that he has finally said my name...mama!! It's AWESOME!!!!

Side note for those of you who don't know, he began saying "dada" about a month ago...so needless to say I have been working day and night saying "mama" a crazy amount of times around him to help him learn my name. "Mama is changing your diaper" "mama loves you" "mama is getting your lunch" BLAH! Referring to myself in third person makes me feel very silly BUT I was hopeful that it would result in hearing that beautiful word come out of his mouth and tonight my hard work paid off. THANK YOU GOD!

I am such a happy momma; it is 1am and I am up writing instead of sleeping....haha...oh the things that get me excited these days...I'm such a mom!
